This is one of my self portraits without the use of tripod stand. I was trying to get a good shot of the whole group, Parag, Urvashi, Anushka, Rashmi and I. So, before I took that shot was thought let's capture myself.This is taken with Canon Rebel XT with 55mm/1.8f lens.
I love the quality of the pictures taken with this lens. The clarity is awesome.
This is one of my best self portraits. I have it on my desktop wallpaper.

Visit to Monterey Bay Aquarium
Rashmi and I visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium last weekend. It was fun. The day before, we had decided to leave early in the morning on the Saturday (yeah! good thinking!!); So, I setup the alarm for 6:30 am. The alarm clock was, that night, on Rashmi's side.
In the morning when I got up, it was 9:30 am, already. After a lot of blame-game, we finally left for Monterey at 12:30. It was a beautiful ride to Monterey from Pleasanton.
To no surprise, we did not get the free road-side parking there and had to settle for $20/day lot. I consoled myself and Rashmi by telling her a loud that we had saved some on the aquarium tickets. But, it was worth it.
Later, after spending a significant time there (~3 hours), we left for return journey.
Next time, we are planning to go to San Diego. Surely, that's going to be much better than Monterey (at least, hope so).
